Due Date: All workshops requiring payment must be received no more than 30 days from the date of the workshop! If post marked of faxed after the 30-day deadline, an overall $50 late fee will be assessed for each person. If registering within 45 days of a workshop, you must contact the ABHES office to inquire about availability. Register early, as space is limited.
Refund and Transfer Policy: If you enroll and have paid the workshop registration fee but cannot attend a workshop, your registration may transfer to another person or you may cancel, in writing, for a full refund at least 14 business days prior to the workshop. Workshop fees can also be credited toward a future workshop. No refunds will be made for cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the workshop.

The workshop confirmation letter is provided directly from the Bureau and must accompany the completed conference registration form when submitting it to the Precision Meetings & Events, Inc.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
Accreditation Workshop
(8 hours –$500)
This workshop will provide an overview of ABHES standards, self-study preparation and visit procedures. The workshop is designed for initial applicants, institutions undergoing reevaluations and individuals interested in learning more about the accreditation process.
Important Note: Initial and renewal applicants for institutional accreditation are reminded that the Commission mandates that a representative from each campus attend the workshop prior to submission of the Self-Evaluation Report (SER).
Team Leader Evaluator Training Workshop
(4 hours – No registration fee)
This workshop will train participants to become team leaders on ABHES accreditation site visits. You will be exposed to key practices for success in serving in the capacity of team leader, and a review of the accreditation standards, policies and procedures, and general evaluation information will be reviewed. (Target audience: Individuals who have conducted evaluation visits for ABHES or other nationally-recognized accrediting agencies and possess excellent organizational, administrative, and leadership skills)
Surgical Technology Programmatic Training and Assessment
(4 hours – NO REGISTRATION FEE)
This workshop will train participants to become an ABHES evaluator for surgical technology programs. You will be trained on the ABHES general accreditation standards applicable to all programs, and those specific to surgical technology. Policies and procedures governing site visits will also be discussed. Learn how and where to find visitation report answers, gain expertise in report writing, and ways to address common concerns while avoiding areas of risk. (Target audience: Current practitioners or educators in the surgical technology field)
Evaluator Training Workshop
(4 hours – No registration fee)
This workshop will train participants to become an ABHES evaluator to participate on accreditation site visits. You will be trained to comprehend the ABHES standards, learn how and where to find visitation report answers, gain expertise in report writing and learn how to address common concerns, and avoid areas of risk. (Target audience: Individuals that possess expertise in administration and/or are current practitioners or educators in a specific program field, such as medical assisting, dental assisting, nursing/home health, sonography, massage therapy, etc.)
Annual Membership Meeting
(no registration fee)
This is an exciting opportunity to meet and share ideas with other accredited institutions and voice questions and concerns with ABHES Commissioners and staff as these ABHES representatives address updates to its standards and policies, as well as important issues facing the allied health community. (Everyone is welcome, including non-ABHES accredited schools).

Rental Equipment: Clubs featuring the latest in Callaway equipment and shoes by FootJoy will be available to rent by cash payment to the golf course at the time of play. Fee for such rental is not included in registration fee.

Transportation: The shuttle will depart promptly from the Resort at 7:30 a.m. All golfers to meet in the hotel lobby by 7:15 a.m.
Prizes: As part of the fun, prizes will be awarded for the following: Longest Drive, Straightest Drive, CLosest to the Pin, Lowest Team score, and Highest Team Score.
Proper Attire / Rules and Regulations: Proper golf attire is required. Proper golf attire consists of a shirt with collar, slacks or Bermuda-length shorts, and shoes without a distinct heel.
Disclaimer
Inclement Weather: The Club, in its sole discretion at any time, whether before or during the Event, delay or cancel the Event due to inclement weather. If the Club cancels the Event before it commences, due to inclement weather, participants will receive a refund.
If the Club Cancels the Event after it commences, due to inclement weather, the following will apply: If the players in the Event have completed six (6) or fewer holes, participants will be refunded 60% of the paid registration.
If the players in the Event have completed twelve (12) or more holes, no refund will be provided.
The management of the Club reserves the right to make the final decision regarding play if lightning or severe weather conditions are expected in the vicinity that may endanger the safety of the players or Golf Staff.
