Final Dental Assisting Program-Specific Standards

Following a series of three calls for public comment and consideration of these comments, the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) has approved as final the Dental Assisting Program-Specific standards. To this end, the ABHES Commission sincerely appreciates the hard work of the Dental Assisting Advisory Committee and the Standards Review Committee.
The Dental Assisting standards, including a Summary of Distinctions between DA I and DA II, are attached as included in the Accreditation Manual, 16th Edition which is effective July 1, 2010.
