This workshop is designed for individuals who have experience with ABHES standards and have previously participated in accreditation visits at their institution. This one-day training provides attendees with a better understanding of the critical areas of accreditation, such as program effectiveness, student achievement, and annual outcomes and financial requirements. The training will include interpreting and troubleshooting some of the most common standard violations. Attendees will additionally learn how to respond to visitation reports, Commission directives, and reporting letters.  

This workshop will teach attendees to create, implement, and maintain impactful Program Effectiveness Plans that not only comply with ABHES standards but also encourage best-practice applications and functions. Participants will learn how to interpret and apply formulas for calculating program retention, credentialing, and placement rates; navigate constituency survey participation and satisfaction rates; and discuss methods for improving all required metrics. Finally, attendees will gain practical experience and valuable insight from an accredited member’s perspective.  

Join ABHES Staff for an in-depth review of the lifecycle of a program. Participants will learn what steps need to be taken when considering whether to offer a new program, how to submit your application for the new program through the Member Portal, and what to do once you receive a new program approval. This workshop is designed to train attendees to understand how to prepare a compelling response for the Commission’s consideration. Participants will learn best practices for effectively responding to Commission directives and why relevant and precise documentation is crucial to fully demonstrate compliance with accreditation standards, policies, and procedures.
